Clarify how to manage smartphones before students bring them schools
Many guardians and teachers are worried about students brings smartphones to school.Should this be come acceptable,it is indispensable to clarify how smartphones should be managed and to thorouly in struct students.
The Education,Culture,Science and Technology Ministry has compiled a draft of new guidelines to allow junior hight school students to bring smartphones and mobile phones to school.The guidelines will replace the existing ones that,in principle,prohibit junior high school students from bringing mobile devices,allowing them to use the devices for emergency contact such as in the event of a disaster.The ministry intends not to allow students to make phone calls or use the internet via smartphones in school.
It is important that schools,students and guardians firmly decide how the smartphones will be used.Students should be actively involved in rulemaking so that they can fully understand and follow the rules.
